A weekly club for 6-9 year olds who enjoy the wildlife and countryside at Noakes Grove nature reserve.
At our first meeting we studied peacock butterfly caterpillars and each took one home to keep as a pet until it is a butterfly.
Find out about Peacock butterflies and caterpillars.
We looked at all the moths in the moth trap: some were really weird and some very pretty.
We fed the sheep and their lambs.
We took turns to catch butterflies: meadow browns and skippers.
We shook insects out of bushes: ladybirds and jumping bush-crickets.
At the pond some of the tadpoles had turned into mini frogs and were climbing out of the pond.
The tadpoles we took home still hadn't got legs yet.
